What to do about Grading?
In this structured dialogue across contexts, we will find out what policies are already in place, and what is working and what is challenging in each district’s distance learning context.
We will discuss:
What are the primary equity issues to anticipate and to address?
For teachers: What formative assessment can be happening in the context of new grading policies? What information can we use to inform what will need to be taught and learned next year?
For systems: What data can be collected/reported (differently) still/now?
For students/families: What have new policies already meant for student growth/learning/engagement? How to communicate to families/households about facilitating student success in math under new grading policy?
